Expert Camellia Growers 🌺

Our team were treated to an exclusive private tour of the beautiful Tregothnan Estate!

Home to the Boscawen family, the estate is multifaceted with woodlands, agriculture, property rental, beekeeping and of course, the tea plantation.

Open to the public for just one day a year, for their Open Garden Celebration, you can imagine our excitement when we were invited for a private tour…

Tregothnan, which translated from Cornish means “The house at the head of the valley”. Their beautiful, well-kept gardens are an incredible site to see, and truly breath-taking. Maintained by their hands-on, talented gardening team to the highest standards, who help protect rare species, like their Wollemi Pine tree – which was thought to have been extinct for more than 50 million years!

Located on the banks of the deep-sea creek in the river Fal, Tregothnan has the perfect microclimate to support many extraordinary species of fruit trees and plants. Tregothnan is an official ‘safe site’ for the keeping and protection of rare or endangered trees from all over the world.

Tregothnan’s Cornish grown tea is available on our website in our luxury hampers & in our Cornish Pantry. Click here https://thecornishhamperstore.co.uk/product/tregothnan-afternoon-loose-tea-caddy/  to see Tregothnans Afternoon Loose Tea..
